This study aims to determine how Metro TV frames its coverage of crime cases using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis approach. The case analyzed relates to a murder triggered by financial problems and political ambitions. The analysis technique uses Entman's four framing elements: defining the problem, determining the cause, making a moral judgment, and providing recommendations for resolution. The results show that Metro TV emphasizes emotional and dramatic aspects in its reporting. The narrative structure, visualization, and word choice contribute to shaping public perceptions of the perpetrators and victims. Media framing not only conveys information but also shapes the social construction of a crime. This study shows that the media has a significant influence in shaping public opinion, so the framing approach is very relevant to understand how the media influences the audience's perspective on social issues.
