Mitos Populer Indra Jegel Dan Persepsi Kesuksesan Film Di Era Digital

Indra Jegel's popularity is inseparable from the narrative attached to him, namely as a figure who "elevated the status of regional comedy" to the national stage which then became a popular myth in itself. The purpose of this study is to understand the construction of popular myths surrounding Indra Jegel formed among the public and digital media, the influence of Indra Jegel's popularity and persona on public perception of the success of the films he starred in in the digital era and to understand the dynamics of social media and digital culture forming and strengthening the myth and image of film success through the figure of Indra Jegel. The method in this study is qualitative. The results of this study are that digital culture has given birth to a new ecosystem where film success is a collaborative result between the media, the public, and digital personas. This phenomenon reflects a fundamental shift in how we understand the value of a work of art, as well as the importance of cultural analysis of popular figures who are now not only part of film stories, but also the big stories of our time.
